Bangor Brewer Bowling Lanes offers up 24 candlepin lanes, but that’s far from the only attraction at the alley. There’s a large arcade, snack bar, and Musical Bowling in the Dark on Fridays, an event dubbed the “Best Deal in Bowling.” From 8:00pm to midnight you pay a flat rate of $25 to bowl to your heart’s content and enjoy some great entertainment and special effects. That’s not the only special, as Bangor Brewer Bowling Lanes also hosts glow bowling, red pin retro, and family glow bowling.
If you happen to be a morning person, you’d be well-advised to take advantage of the Daily Special, which entails unlimited bowling from 9:00am to Noon for just $7 per person. This deal is offered every single day of the year!
For those who enjoy more competitive bowling, there’s no shortage of options. Leagues are plentiful, including men’s, women’s, senior, and mixed leagues. There are also a number of tournaments held year round if you want to see how your candlepin skills measure up against the competition.
The philosophy at Bangor Brewer Bowling Lanes is that bowling is a lifetime sport, and in that regard they offer a lot of programs directed at youth. Youth leagues include “Bumper Buddies” for younger kids ages 5-11. The Saturday Junior League is another great deal that will help get your kids out of the house and building a skill that can serve them for the rest of their lives.
The arcade is fully equipped, as you can play a wide variety of games before or after bowling, including air hockey, shooting games, driving games, pinball machines, and prize redemption ticket games.
Candlepin bowling equipment is sometimes hard to find, but Bangor Brewer Bowling Lanes has a well-stocked pro shop with ball sets, bags and more at great prices.

My daughter attended a birthday party there. It was dirty and dingy. We tried using the arcades and lost $1.50 to non-working machines. I spoke to the person who appeared to be in charge. I was told he would be right over. That didn’t happen. As I was returning my 5 year old’s rental shoes I reminded him of the broken machines. He didn’t even look up at me. All he said, and to me it sounded through his teeth, was thank you. Not even a sorry. Customer service is lacking in this place. I planned on having my daughter’s party there but decided I do not want to be associated with scum.

BBBL is the go to place with my kids weekend mornings. We have so much fun. It is a little worn around the edges that is what gives it old charm…and that is nice. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Can’t beat the price anywhere. However, the main thing is we have great fun as a family and my kids are in high school and this place gives us the opportunité to enjoy life…before they go off on their own.
