The Big Island of Hawaii is larger than all the other Hawaiian Islands combined. And after seeing all it has to offer, we wouldn’t be surprised if KBXtreme could say the same about other entertainment options in Kona.
First, there’s the bowling lanes. There’s 16 QubicaAMF MAD Lanes in all, with hourly or per game rates as well as specials during different times of day. There are also a number of tournaments offered year-round as well as men’s, women’s, senior’s and mixed leagues.
But there’s plenty to do in addition to bowl at KBXtreme. You can bellow out a tune at the Parrots Rock Karaoke Lounge open daily from 6pm-2am. Parrots Lounge hosts a yearly karaoke contest known as Hawaiian Idol, and was voted Best Place to Karaoke on the Big Island for three years in a row.
If singing is not your game, maybe you’d prefer to watch some sports. The place to do so is the X-Factor Sports Club, where you’ll find no fewer than 50 TVs. Popular events include NFL, college contests, and Live Pay-Per-View UFC fights. There are 15 beers on tap, as well as pool, darts, and Portagee Horseshoes.
If you want a more substantial meal, check out Chubby’s Axalux Café, which serves up a number of local dishes, burgers, sandwiches and salads. There is also plenty on the dessert menu, including floats and sundaes.
For children, or just the young at heart, KidZone arcade offers up a variety of video games. And if you earn enough tickets, some actually valuable prizes await, including the latest Xbox consoles and iPods.
