At Lynwood Bowl and Skate near Seattle, Washington, you can “roll” in more than one way. Unlike most alleys, the bowling balls aren’t the only ones that get to have the fun, as you can get into the act at their on-site roller rink.
Skating Rink
This is the only alley in the country we have seen that has roller skating and a skate shop in addition to bowling, and many patrons have said it’s an extremely fun addition. They hold different skating events throughout the week, including Adult Skate on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays where skaters 18 and older do their thing to music from the 70’s, 80s and today. Fridays are Teen Night and they even have a class teaching how to skate on Saturdays.
Oh Yeah, There’s Bowling Too
If you ever find a way to pull yourself off the fun-filled roller rink, you can actually check out their bowling. Lynwood offers several specials on the lanes as well, including a very cost-effective Family Extreme Bowl on Monday evenings. It’s only $7.50 per person for two hours and shoe rental in an atmosphere of black lights and plenty of flashing.
It’s unclear as to whether any patrons have ever had a few drinks at the alley Bar & Lounge and attempted to make their bowling approach on roller skates. This likely wouldn’t end well, but with $2.50 well drinks and $2.00 domestic drafts, I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s been tried.
As long as you make sure to keep the two activities separate, Lynwood Bowl and Skate is an excellent destination.
