Mesa East Bowl has been a fixture in East Mesa for over a decade, and according to some locals, it seems to get better every year. It now has a new Qubica scoring system, 32 lanes, a concourse seating area separate from the bowling area. Also, 42-inch LCD screens hang overhead.

But the real value doesn’t come from anything fancy. Instead, Mesa East Bowl is known for its no-nonsense atmosphere, classic bowling alley food, and above all, great prices.

Regular rates are quite reasonable, especially when compared to some of the other bowling alley franchise locations around the area. They also regularly feature seasonal specials, such as a student discount in the month of May, and a summer special where games only cost $1.75 Monday through Thursday (from 9am-5pm.)

There is a “Rock and Bowl” event that takes place on Friday and Saturday nights. $18 gets you everything you need, including shoes.

If you’re looking to unwind after a day of work, the happy hour drink specials are excellent, at $1.50 for 12oz drafts and $2.00 for 16oz.

Groups and Parties

Special group rates are available upon request, and Mesa East offers very affordable party packages which include 2 hours of bowling, pizza and a pitcher of the drink of your choice (soda or beer, depending on the age of the party-goers.)

If you like all the staple items you’d suggest from a classic bowling alley, you will not be disappointed. The snack bar serves up plenty of burgers, sandwiches and tasty fries.

  1. So many of the bowling alleys look like dark holes with uneven sticky lanes. Mesa East Bowl gets it right. This is my favorite place to bowl. The staff are always pleasant and I never have any problems with the lanes. The only downside is that during the work week, it’s all about league bowling so open bowl ends at 5.
