Park Lanes Family Entertainment Center is a great place to go bowling with 32 lanes, a clean atmosphere and lots of other fun activities. But there’s one thing that sets it apart that you probably won’t guess: a partnership the alley made with area elementary schools.
Bowling Alley Teams Up with Schools
For the last couple of years, Park Lanes has had an arrangement with Hillsboro elementary schools where the bowling center loans out equipment to be used in physical education classes.
They give mats that are marked like a bowling lane, plastic pins and a weighted rubber ball complete with holes for the kids to use. It’s been a big hit, and at the end of the gym class bowling unit, they get to take a field trip to Park Lanes for free bowling!
Also, since the schools are only renting the equipment for the bowling unit instead of buying it all and having it sit for the rest of the year, they save money.
This partnership is certainly one of the coolest we’ve seen at BowlingAlleysUSA.com!
The Bowling Attractions
In addition to providing an excellent opportunity for children to learn how to bowl, Park Lanes offers a lot of great attractions on site. There’s cosmic bowling with a light show and music and everything is family friendly. There are even special Summer Youth Programs with great benefits for younger bowlers.
If you’re done at the lanes, you can also spend time at the large arcade filled with fun games or hit a few balls at the batting cages.
And the alley isn’t just for kids and recreational bowlers either, as Park Lanes hosts a number of tournaments throughout the year including the State Games of Oregon for both women and men.
