Some bowling alleys in Florida follow the model of Disney World and attempt to become a one-stop family entertainment destination by offering a wide variety of flashy attractions.
Others, however, stick to what’s really important: offering a welcoming neighborhood atmosphere and making service their main goal. Pinarama Bowling Center in South Tampa is certainly one of these alleys.
Pinarama immediately makes it clear that they are around to build a community. Over the last decade, they have built up a great relationship in Tampa and local bowlers typically report that every aspect of their experience was a positive one.
What They Offer
The attractions offered at Pinarama are the basics: they have open bowling at decent prices, a variety of leagues, Cosmic bowling, birthday parties and other group parties. They a game and billiards room, snacks and a bar, but these are nothing to write home about, and they don’t find it necessary to invest in a high-tech web presence. What makes Pinarama impressive, however, is the fact that they devote a lot of resources to actually serving the customer, not just have a bunch of fancy-looking things to do.
Specials
And there are a number of interesting offers at Pinarama, some of which we have yet to see.
Sunday nights are a good time for deals, as they offer a Dollar Games special from 6pm to 11pm. The other deals, though, are more unusual. Pinarama offers a Home School special for kids in which kids who are home-schooled get discounted bowling Monday-Friday. For those children who do attend public school, they get a great deal on every half-day. Kids can come in in the afternoon and bowl for two hours for just $5.99 (includes shoe rental.)
