Many bowling centers are billed as “not your typical alley,” but most often they don’t turn out to be very special at all. Restaurants, lounges, entertainment and arcades have become so commonplace today that no one bats an eye when they see them at a local alley.
But sometimes an alley comes along that really does have activities and attractions that you don’t see every day. (check out some unique alleys we’ve covered in the past) A new alley in Plano, Texas looks to be just this. Pinstack recently opened last week and goes far beyond those typical amenities.
First off, the alley’s game space blows most others out of the water: the arcade is 7,000 square-feet and features over 100 different games.
But there’s much more: laser tag, bumper cars, rock climbing and a ropes course lurking above everything else.
The dining room keeps the “everything’s bigger in Texas” theme going, as it seats about 140 and boasts a variety of chic culinary treats including some that rotate seasonally.
For the bowling side of the house, there are 28 lanes, 20 of which are normal with the remaining 8 serving as special “VIP” lanes.
