This alley on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City, CA is more of a complete entertainment destination than a simple bowling alley.
While it does feature 32 lanes and some high tech scoring and graphics, there is much more to do than knock down “pinz.” The business also features billards, a full arcade with air hockey and a massive party and banquet area.
Also, four times a week, the alley changes from a bowling destination to “Club Pinz,” an L.A. hotspot for “rockin’ to super hits under three mirror disco balls and strobe lights!” (website) This event, known as Rock-N-Bowl, has attracted some big names, most notably Nelly who stormed the scene on an evening in 2004.
While this hip, exciting atmosphere could be way too much for the serious bowler, the “club” does at times die down and “Pinz” offers a variety of leagues for those who do not want their experience to be accompanied by dancing party-goers, movie stars and/or mosh pits.
Many prominent Hollywood celebrities have been spotted at the alley in various circumstances, as covered in the website’s press section. Pinz Bowling Center also was voted No. 1 in L.A. by L.A. Magazine.
As the website encourages, check out Pinz Bowling Center “when you have time to spare.”

I am a league bowler and recently they changed the house shot to a Xmas tree pattern because of some complaints I have been bowling their for 7years on a league house shot ,med oil ,I wish they would have started this in the beginning of the league not 3/4 into it,if they continue to do this I will be forced to take my team and a few others to a new alley ,
All lanes are different at other alleys ,If you don’t like the med shot go somewhere else
