In Vermillion, South Dakota, there’s one bowling alley that stands out. Strike Zone Alley is newly remodeled and offers up an exciting environment for to take friends, family and children.
There’s something for just about everyone, ranging from bowling leagues to a bar and grill to a wide variety of video games.
The games, first of all, are housed in the Arcade Center and contain favorites such as Rush Auto Racing, Four Wheeling, Area 51 Shootout, Foosball, Pool, and Basketball Shoot. If you want to pick a tune while you play, don’t fret, as there is a jukebox right there for all your musical needs. Also, if you can’t make it into the alley but happen to be perusing its website, they even included a couple of flash games so you don’t feel left out!
Moving on to Pro’s Bowl and Grill, there’s simply no better place in the Vermillion area to catch a game. They boast 7 TVs including a 108” widescreen for major events. Its subscription to NFL Sunday Ticket ensures that you’ll be able to watch your favorite team on the gridiron. The kitchen is usually hopping for lunch and stays open until 10pm. The bar stays open until 2:00am and there are a number of daily specials to take advantage of.
Strike Zone Alley also offers leagues that cater to the most competitive bowlers to those just looking for a good time every week. There is also a youth league and the alley in general is quite kid-friendly.

Unless it has changed, and from what I heard, it has not, this place is a decent bowling ally. Though they do need to update the machines. They have lost several league teams because the machines are so bad. They upgrade the building but not the machines. I have had my ball get stuck numerous times and even a chunk taken out of my ball. Personally I think there needs to be a newer bowling ally built in this town or their machines need to be upgraded.
