It’s pretty common for a bowling alley to feature a bar on site; you’ll often find a basic counter with a bartender serving up bottled beer and maybe a few house mixed drinks. But at The Bowler in Fargo, ND, there are no fewer than three bars on site, each with their own unique twist.
The Strikers bar offers casino games including blackjack, pull tabs, electronic bingo, and paddlewheel. Alleys is the bar to frequent if you are looking to play billiards or darts. And last, but certainly not least, The Upper Deck features a variety of social offerings, including karaoke on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Texas Hold’em Poker on Monday and Wednesday, and trivia on Fridays. All three offer daily drink specials.
One could certainly be satisfied with the entertainment found in these watering holes, but there is plenty else to do at The Bowler, including, naturally, bowling.
The alley has 24 lanes and can accommodate special events including birthdays. There is also a good league bowling community going on at The Bowler, and they even post PDFs of the latest league scores on the alley’s website. An on-site pro shop is also available for all your bowling equipment needs.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights are Rock-N-Bowl nights from 9pm to midnight.
Finally, if you work up a bit to eat during your trip to The Bowler, you don’t need to leave the building. Gina’s Pizza Grill is located right inside, and you can choose to dine in or get carryout or delivery. The homemade specialty pizzas are a hit, including Taco, BBQ Chicken and Gina’s Deluxe, which features Italian sausage, fresh mushrooms, onion, green peppers and black olives. There’s also plenty else to eat than just pizza, such as burgers, hot sandwiches, and a host of appetizers.
