Lake Bowl Family Fun Center in Folsom has been a long-time favorite among Sacramento area residents, but in 2010 it was given a major facelift. As outlined on its website, it has new furniture including couches, new floors, new lighting, a new scoring system and even a new Todd Adams Pro Shop. Couple that with its established reputation for tasty food and a good bar and you’ve got a recipe for a solid bowling alley.
In addition to the fun on the lanes, the bar and grill are regular hangouts for the 20-something crowd, especially in the evenings. The bar is fully stocked and there are plenty of interesting foods on the menu, ranging from chicken stir fry to roast beef dip hot sandwiches.
For those who simply want to bowl, there is a handy sheet on the alley’s website which tells you what hours are open bowling. Many alleys around the country frustrate their customers by making it seem as though they are open only to say there aren’t any lanes open due to leagues. Here, you can view the full schedule as a PDF or print it out so you’ll always know the best times to go in and bowl.
Its great atmosphere has been recognized, as Lake Bowl was voted the Best Entertainment Value in Folsom by The Folsom Telegraph.
The new Lake Bowl Family Fun Center is the result of a huge remodeling job, as the owners invested over $250,000 into improving the alley. Whatever your game, you’re likely to find something you like at Lake Bowl.
