Lakeshore Lanes is a bowling alley in St. Clair Shores, a city bordering Lake St. Clair in Michigan and part of the extended Detroit metro area. Its location is quite modest, surrounded by lakeside houses and trees, and the venue itself follows suit.
A classic example of your bare-bones, old school bowling alley, Lakeshore Lanes does not have any of the flashy gimmicks or features that seem to be par for the course for just about every “me too” alley these days. Instead, Lakeshore Lanes focuses on keeping its lanes well maintained and cultivating an atmosphere where bowling is the only attraction.
Bowlers hoping for glow-in-the-dark Cosmic nights and a full-service bar and restaurant to cater to their every whim will be disappointed, as there is no bar or kitchen on site. This setup, however, isn’t a bad thing.
Instead of forking over too much of your money for overpriced burgers and fries, pizza and beers, you can simply get a snack from the vending machine and save up for more nights of bowling. And since you won’t feel stuffed or tipsy during your games, you can actually focus on your game, as crazy as that might sound.
After spending so much of your time (and dollars) in a lavish bowling entertainment paradise, you might have forgotten what it’s like to bowl at a place where things are much simpler.
At Lakeshore Lanes, the service is friendly, the atmosphere is very comfortable, and you won’t have to bowl with an obscenely loud pop music hit blaring from a loudspeaker!
