The Park Tavern in the twin cities offers a unique twist on the popular tradition of including music at the bowling alley.
Instead of limiting the experience to audio, this bowling center offers a Video Jukebox which is broadcast on 5 big screens over the lanes. The official website identifies the jukebox feature as the only one of its kind in the Midwest and reports that it has over 7,000 songs for your viewing and listening pleasure. Hopefully the dance moves or special effects on the music videos won’t distract you and make you throw your ball down the wrong lane.
Good Grub Including “Bowling Buffets”
Park Tavern also offers some excellent food and drink choices. The bar is fully stocked and offers so much more than just pitchers of cheap beer. Some of the items at the on-site full service restaurant have even earned significant recognition.
The Jamaican Wings were voted “Best Wing” at the Twin Cities Wing Fling in 2005 and Park Tavern has also won “Best Burger” in Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine.
Another unique offering combing bowling and food are the “Bowling Buffets.” These party packages include games, shoes and a delicious spread including choices such as “Mexican Fiesta” and “Texas BBQ.”
The specials are impressive overall at the Park Tavern. These include a Cosmic Rock and Bowl and a 7 & 7 special. The latter sounds particularly good as it combines a $7 all-you-can bowl deal with cost-effective $7 pitchers. Throw in some wild tunes on the video jukebox and you should be set for a great night.

Park Tavern is a phenomenal alley! If you’re apart of their free club, they send solid deals every month. On Groupon they had a deal where you payed $75 and got free bowling and shoes for 3 months. They also have a great bar. I would recommend this alley to anyone except for families. Definitely has a 21+ feel and they card at the door on Friday and Saturday nights which does not really promote a family friendly environment. Very crwoded most nights as it is a popular spot to hang out! They also have ladies drink and bowl free on some nights.
